It would be GREAT if anyone in a state OTHER THAN Ohio, would stop by the Costco nearest you next time you are in the area. See if they have a sign. Just a bit of a test question. Another person on this thread said they'd call the security folks there "gun grabbing Nazis" and then encourage people to break store merchandise.

For the most part, that's true, but turning the wrong way or reaching for something can possibly reveal it. In such a case, security will likely remove you from the store and possibly cancel the membership. At least you're willing to accept the consequences of your actions. Personally, I'd just shop elsewhere if it were a big deal for me. :-)

You STILL don't get it. Putting up a sign doesn't ban anything. Metal detectors, coupled with sound procedure, prevent guns from getting into a particular place.

Isn't shooting someone in a retail store against the law whether there is a sign "banning" guns or not? What good did the damn sign do? The poor schmuck who trusted that sign is still dead. The perp would be prosecuted whether there was a gun "banning" sign or not.

The statistical probability of someone being shot in a gun "banning" store are actually somewhat higher after the "banning" sign is posted than they were before.

Now go spend the next 60 days scouring the internet trying to find a study proving otherwise.

Idiot. Nothing is being destroyed by my carrying a concealed weapon into that store. Your argument is ludicrous.

I still preserve my first amendment rights if I enter onto the property of another and speak respectfully, cordially and politely. If I start yelling "You stupid mother*@#*@#, you ought to be flogged and your chidlren #$%&**!..." I should expect to be immediately tossed from and forever banned from that property.

If I enter into a gun "banning" store carrying my weapon and never display it or fire it I haven't hurt anyone, and both the store's rights and mine have been protected. Your assertions to the contraty notwithstanding. If, God forbid, I have to pull that gun to defend myself or someone else in that store, I have served a better purpose than standing idly by while an "Outlaw" disobeyed a damn sign.

Yup. So what if it's banned...When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

The first time I was at a Costco was about ten years ago when I was around ten. We were visiting a friend in CA and my Dad and I went along to Costco. As we were headed out some guy opened fire. My dad grabbed his concealed and shot the guy...he did not kill him...and the guy only shot two people. One of them was a store employee, you would think they would want help in a situation like that rather than all the guns be banned.
