Apology accepted. When you get to know the different FReepers over time, you can generally feel comfortable in giving them the benefit of the doubt. I believe that I didn't give crail enough of that benefit.
What I've observed about the Darwinist/Creationist debate, recently, is that there is much vitriol, and little benefit of the doubt.
Reasonable (with heavy emphasis on the root 'reason') can and do disagree. Biblical academics disagree with each other all the time. Scientific academics disagree with each other all the time. The premise of First Things is radically different for both communities. Is it a surprise that the two communities would find such little common ground?
But, little common ground or not, a little common courtesy will go a long way towards proving that FR is not merely a place for whoever's left standing, but a place where informed dialogue can take place without the disagreeable name-calling that usually seems to go along with it.
