Too often public schools do teach that (Astrology)...

Normally I would be skeptical of this claim, but based on some of the comments I read around here, I think you might be right.

What type of evolution happened? There are 6 different kinds and only one has been proven.

Where do you guys get this stuff?

Yup, I guess you've done all but eye-witness the birth of the Universe.

We're not so lucky to be able to do that, as the Cosmic Microwave Background prevents direct detection of that particular event, just the evidence of the aftermath. Perhaps someone will come up with a way to do that someday.

It's not an exact science, but there is a feeling that humanity is on the right track in astrophysics. The broad brush strokes are there in some disciplines, but there are quite a few places where the painting has yet to be started, all that remains is a simple pencil outline. Of course, the creationists choose to harp on the one thing that we know the most about, which is age determination of the universe. Most of the first 50 years of astronomy and astrophyics was spent determining the distances to things so that we could determine the age of the universe. By far, more work has gone into projects that could further that than anything else.

I am all for the Genome Project. I believe - as a Creationist - that God designed order and structure into the creation...

You will be dissapointed to learn that the human genome (as well as the dozens of others sequenced so far) is not "ordered" at all.

It is a random jumble of dead retroviral and other parasitic DNA elements with a few genes mingled in, some of which actually work.

No, but repeating a false claim after you have been informed that it is false and why it is false, without attempting to justify your continued repetition of the claim is a lie.

If its not a false claim to me, its not a lie. Lying is intentionally misstating the truth when you know what the truth really is. I don't believe you know the truth and I know I don't. So, saying that a bunch of people on an internet blog told me the truth, yet I continue to doubt it as truth, makes me a liar? You have been told that there are not "six types" of evolution, yet you continue to argue as though there are even though the very claim is in dispute. You dishonestly assert your position as though it were already established fact.

I really don't care what I've been told on this website, you are not an authority on what the truth is, nor reliable as a witness to the truth.

Avast, mateys! Big Daddy ahoy! Chick Tract sighted off the starboard bow!

I should have guessed it.

Kinda depressing whem people get their science education from cheesy comic books. Maybe someday theyll graduate to X-men.

Ignorance is such a sign of intelligence. LOL. How would you know where to find any information different than your myopic view of the world? Seems to me you profess too much......

Gee, your name is a clear giveaway of your agenda. Sorry pal, I'm not alone in my beliefs and that is what scares you to the bone. You have nothing coherent to say, so you resort to personal insults. Truly a post that shouts intelligence! If anything, your just plain creepy.

We get it from interpreting what would have to happen if there was no divine intervention in our creation. Simply put, we get it from you.

And you still haven't figured that out yet? Of course your not lucky enough to be an eye-witness, and of course you can only rely on echoes. Thanks for being so sincere about the broad brush strokes made in astrophysics. I couldn't have said it better.

Perhaps it does, but not for the reasons you imagine.

In energetic systems, entropy has to do with the dissipation of energy.

No, no, no, no, no. It has to do with the trajectories of systems through phase space. The dissipation of energy is entirely an artifact of that process, and it is NOT what entropy is about. It happens in many physical systems where energy is not involved: the expansion of a real gas into a larger volume, for example. The fact that it occurs in systems where no energy is involved should be your clue that it isn't about energy. It's simply a mathematical gradient produced by the larger availability of microstates in higher entropy configurations. And, by the way, "dissipation" of energy occurs in the ideal gas case also. But again, this is a result, not a cause.
