A Time for a Change - (it's called "Seize the Moment" - or Carpe Diem for Republicans)

For several years, conservatives have complained bitterly about the liberal bias in the media. That such a bias exists isn't even denied any longer. Rather, the liberal media has begun its own counter-offensive, complaining about the prominence of conservative talk radio and the conservative-leaning "new media". Instead of the former practice of the liberals dominating and the conservatives complaining, the trend has become a contest of complaints. Both sides whine like spoiled children about the opposition's dominance. Whether conservatives have the edge, or liberals, is immaterial. Nothing has ever been accomplished by complaining.

There has been a change in the political landscape. Conservatives have become the majority influence, and Republicans have established a majority in the electorate. Yet, almost in spite of the change, the established media has continued a relentless campaign against conservative thought, against conservative principles, and against conservative beliefs. Instead of embracing the change in the political weather, the powers that control the airwaves, and that dominate pop culture, have chosen to lash out with a cavalcade of anti-religious, anti-cultural, anti-conservative propaganda that almost defies description. As a result, in spite of political dominance, and in spite of majority status, conservatives, conservative Christians, and nationalist moderates are left without a venue for entertainment, education and community affiliation.

Perhaps the first rule of marketing, as opposed to the older "production" model of selling, is that the seller should survey the market, identify its needs and wants, and find products and services that fill the need. The willingness of the liberal establishment to undertake strategies that fly in the face of the rules of effective marketing should give conservative entrepreneurs and venture capitalists reason to pause. There is a profound market, the majority of the population, that has wants and needs that aren't being satisfied. If ever there has been a time for change in the marketplace, it would seem that now would be the time.

So the questions have to be asked. Why has there been no effort to establish a broadcast media network with a conservative editorial bias? Why has there been no influx of toys and products into the marketplace? Why is the clothing market still dominated by products that make our children look like tawdry waifs and risqué tarts? Is it because conservatives are driven by words alone, and don't practice in their daily lives what they espouse in their comments? Or is the answer simpler? Is it because conservatives have never, in our history, been in such a clear position of dominance, and just don't know how to proceed?

With a majority of voters expressing more conservative views, there is no reason of real worth that the nation's school systems should still be dominated by the liberal literati. There is no reason short of apathy that our school systems should still be platforms for liberal indoctrination. There is no reason short of fear of reprisal that parents should suffer their children being taught that deviance is normal, that references to God made by our founders in our founding documents are unfit for the schools, and that people of a conservative bend are low-browed, unintelligent knuckle-dragging Neanderthals.

With the majority of voters expressing discontent with the liberal media, there is no reason that our airwaves should be dominated by self-gratifying nudity, anti-Christian attacks and promotion of Gaia-worship.

Conservatives must do more than complain about their mistreatment, and must do more than vent their discontent. This is a time of great vulnerability for the left. While still questioning their purposes and methods, conservatives must not become complacent. Rather, this is a time that conservatives must use liberal uncertainty to create tomorrow.

Cultural dominance is a matter of cultural leadership. Cultural leadership is a matter of vision and clarity, not just for the present, but for the future stretching off into the mists. Vision and clarity requires more than abstract sniping and incomplete definition of thoughts and ideals. For America to regain its stature in the world, America as a conservative nation must make it abundantly clear why conservative principles are not only viable, but superior to that which they would displace. How can a nation emerge as a leader and procurator of the future without a firm idea of what that future should be, and how best to achieve its promise?

In this time of realizing our majority existence, conservatives should allow themselves to stop apologizing for their beliefs. A conservative nation is built on a foundation of spirituality, with a fair measure of tolerance for unbelievers. It is not a nation of unbelievers who tread on the Faithful. A conservative nation is a nation that believes in itself and its purpose, that has a sense of its own strength, and yet that applies that strength with grace and compassion. A conservative nation is a nation built on a belief in the worth of every person, and in the belief that each should achieve as much as they can, and should be encouraged and fostered in that pursuit. A conservative nation believes that governance is a grant of authority by the governed to those elected to serve the public good. Where, in these beliefs, is there anything that demands apology?

And in this context, what reason is there that conservatives should accept that they have no access to the marketplace? Why must conservatives be content to accept the anti-theistic, socialistic cultural engineering of the left? Why must conservatives accept products and entertainments that demean their beliefs, compromise their values, or belittle their existence?

The answer is that there is no reason. This is a time of change. In this time of change, there is opportunity not just for realization of conservative ideals, but also to set right much of the damage that liberals have done to American culture and society in the last fifty years.

Yes and no. Conservatives and Republicans have been pounded ad nauseum for over 30 years; and have for 30+ years been "waiting to exhale". It has come.. the exhale. Conservatives exhale differently than Liberals do. Maybe its genetic. Like DNA or some such.. :>

Not by might, nor by power, but by MY SPIRIT!

When God, and only God, by HIS, and only HIS, divine will, pours out His Spirit ON ALL FLESH, then, and only then, will we see "the desire of all nations" come. That's why it says "endure to the end", and "darkness will cover the earth, and gross darkness the people". Man is "born in sin, shapen in iniquity", and will follow his natural course, until a greater power than himself changes that course. That greater power is almost here, but you must endure "for a season", to see if your made of the right stuff. The switch that turns on the lights is in the Lord's hands, not in the hand of ANY man, or any work of man. Just pray and ask God to flip the switch. It will change EVERYTHING!

Do I understand you to say that we should stand passively and allow the God-haters to have their way with us? Not unlike the Jews who went passively to the gas chambers when told to do so by Hitler's minnions?

If that is the case, then I guess a Godly president would dismantle the military, right?
