Because it's a stupid, forcedly cute, childish term, much like "tummy."

You don't like the term "tummy?" It's better than "belly."

I think the odds are better he'll get killed if he gets sentenced to just life rather than the death penalty. We all know if he gets the death penalty he'll just sit on death row for the rest of his life. If he gets life maybe one of his fellow inmates will do him in.
To: Baynative
Even jurors appalled by the murder he committed will be reluctant to perform one of their own in a case where all evidence is circumstantial. That's why I might have reservations to vote death.
However, he's been shown to be such a sociopath, it's difficult not to believe he's the one. Still, I figure he'll be "shanked" in prison if he gets life.

Courts Stay California Execution SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 10, 2004. Kevin Cooper would be the first inmate executed in California in two years. Not exactly decades. I know it might seem that way to a Texan though. ;)

I prefer "stomach" in all usages except belly-dancing ones. I'm not a cutesy broad . . . I have no Hummel or Precious Moments figurines in my house, I don't scrapbook (which for the record was a perfectly good noun), and I hate musicals - except of course the Parker/Stone variety, and ping to OC since I'm mentioning you, Trey, you utter hottie.

I think Jesus said in a scripture passage that the proper punsihment for that kind of act of tortuing a child is to be 'cast off into the ocean, with a millstone around the neck of the sinner.'
Sounds like a perfect remedy for Scott.
Anti-death penalty protester Harvey Blight of Menlo Park, Calif., is seen outside of the courthouse in Redwood City, Calif., Friday, Dec. 10, 2004. Blight came to share his views as the jury deliberates in the sentencing phase of the Scott Peterson trial. Peterson was convicted of two counts of murder in the deaths of his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn child. (AP Photo/Ben Margot)

"Stomach" is not technically accurate.

"Love those execution pictures. I just love to think that Peterson will be put to death. It is just great that people know when you sin like that against God, we are going to kill for God."
You are one sick puppy.

I imagine his chances of getting shanked are much greater if he gets life and is put in the general population than if he is put on death row.
Actually, since CA has not even come close to executing anyone in well over 30 years, he has a greater chance of getting run over by a prison laundry cart than of going to the gas chamber, even if he gets the death sentence.
