"It's not too late"

Well at the very least it will be a hard sell to convince the country that the party that pushed open borders for 8 years has 'seen the light' and can be trusted to now enforce the law. You can expect the "ome time" only 86 amnety and Bush's 2005 amnesty to be cited as reasons to not believe any GOP candidate that claims to be for immigration enforcement.

By the way, I looked over the post you were responding to, and I agree with the poster - it's not too late. We can start pushing now for someone like Tancredo. It'll be too late in 2007.
