They get to do one chore, namely vote so that's why there's this loooooooooooong ceremony every four years. Its not all that often you get to serve as an elector.

Not to mention the gazillion or so from California & NY!
How it must feel to have to cast votes for the man who already lost.

It wasn't that long ago when West Virginia was a reliable Democratic bastion. How times have changed.

Not quite. Some still think that Jan. 5 is when it's over. Then when that goes, some will still think that it isn't over until Jan. 20. Then when that is over some are to curl up in the fetal position and drool for days (no kidding... it was either Mopaul or Walt Starr that blathered about doing that). Then they'll start more blather about impeachment.

They're setting the stage for Bush's impeachment. For the DU Dummies this is as impassioned as Ahab's pursuit of the Great White Whale. They mean to have Bush's head on a pike in this term.

Looks like the south has changed permantently from an electoral perspective in just one generation.

Four years all Electroral College meetings were vital because W only had a one vote margin and we couldn't rule out 'rat blackmail on vunerable electors.

I think hoping for a quick injunction, but mostly for news time for his ugly face, as well as giving the dims the charge all over again from Florida that the court system gave Bush his power.

Like that will ever make it to the floor in a Republican controlled House and Senate.

Some still think that Jan. 5 is when it's over. Then you need at least one 'rat in each House to object to the credentials of any of the States' Electors.

Or hoping to get on the media train by the Electoral College vote occuring that day.
Ken Blackwell distributes the ballots back to the electors for validation..

I actually think they did not want a hearing on this at all, as it will show the case to be as weak as we all know it is. The case will be thrown out as moot, allowing as you said for the Dummies to scream about the court system, ignoring the fact that waited way too late to file their lawsuit.
