Report: Iran trying to increase influence in PA
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Iran is attempting to increase its influence in the Palestinian Authority following the death of Yasser Arafat, the Kuwait-based Al-Watan newspaper reported Monday.
Quoting PA officials, Al-Watan reported that Iran had recently transferred US $22 million to the Hizbullah so that the Lebanese Shi'ite group can finance terror activities in the Palestinian territories.
The paper also reported that Iran had offered to pay US $5 million to Fatah head Farouk Khadoumi if he traveled to Tehran or Damascus for discussions with Iranian officials.
Khadoumi reportedly turned down the offer after being warned by officials in the Palestinian Authority security forces.

and Pennsylvania! paging Arlen Specter.......
So you don't like the moderate, Jewish Senator from Pennsylvania. You equate him with "evil" because of his stand on abortion. Huge clue: in the Torah murder is punished by death, Ending a pregnancy is punished with a fine. Many Jews (including Masortim, and I am Masorti a/k/a Conservative) believe, based on our scriptures, that life begins at birth.
You want to impose your fundamentalist Christian beliefs on a non-Christian, in this case Senator Spector. If you live in Pennsylvania you certainly can and should vote against him. Tell me, though, do you consider all Jews and all people who share his pro-choice stand as evil?

(evil person in Israel)
Pardon mois, but until your reply I was unaware that Mr. Specter was Jewish.........I would have guessed Methodist. Thank you for the message. I usually don't inquire of another's religious beliefs, believing that that information is personal like asking a lady her age/weight in public.....
Lately I feel that we didnt buy the F-15Is, the F-16Is and all of the smart bombs for nothing.
Hamevin Yavin!
One of the wonderful things about America is that for most Americans it doesn't really matter. People of different religious and ethnic backgrounds are Americans first and foremost and can be elected to positions of authority. The are a small minority of Jews who are prominent in both political parties.
I fully respect your beliefs, including your beliefs about abortion. I just don't think equating a member of another faith with "evil" because he or she may not share your beliefs is a right thing to do. I also believe it isn't the view of most Americans, whom I found to be an incredibly tolerant people.
If I misuderstood the intention of your post then I apologize for it.
Blue States are SATANLAND.
I am a native New Yorker. I object to that description of my birthplace.
(P.S.: Yes, I object to Michael Moore's description of "red states" and pretty much everything he has to say as well. They guy is an idiot.)
I was just being me......YES! I am a Southern Baptist, YES! I love Isreal, YES! I support the IDF, YES! I think abortion is murder, But my comment was due more to my penchant for puns than punishments.....
This was really MM's bass ackwards description of the Blue States. IPSO FACTO Reverse logic!!! I am fully aware there are many fine people in the Blue states that are devout Christians and Jews. I am a native Californian, but have no love for the place at all. The country is my place of birth, I believe you no longer live in NY.
OK, lets agree to agree that Michael Moore is an ass :) That way we won't be arguing :)
I fully respect you and your opinions. If you are in Israel right now, I am envious........not coveting , mind you, just envious.......!
Come for your next vacation. Flights are very reasonable right now as it's off season. Americans are always quite welcome.
That would be a dream vacation for sure! I live in Florida and can't get my wife to go to Disney World, much less Israel! Her answer (to any trip): "I didn't lose anything over there, so there's no sense in going there."......oh, well, such is the life of a married man.......enjoy, sir!....
You are Christians right? The response to "I didn't lose anything over there" should be pretty obvious, no? Of course she lost something here. She might find a few things as well :)
Just a thought...
That's pretty good! I'd not thought of that angle! But, she hates to travel. Period. I'm glad my jobs over the years have taken me to Europe and all across this country, else I'd never get to go.......One thing she never says is "You NEVER take me anywhere!" I guess I can be thankfull for that!.....
I recommend you read this.
