Just found this on the Megadeth site. Which was part of my point, that Megadeth and Anthrax were waining at that time as well. Heavier metal wained in popularity but the core is still strong.
I can see that. I like early Mettalica. LOVE NWOBHM stuff, but by the late 80's it seems everything was being overproduced. It lacked the rawness of the earlier stuff.
