UMMMMM, whose the intolerant bunch here? I never even thought about Muslims until 9/11. After 9/11 I did a lot of reading up on them...just to be sure I didn't fall victim to prejudice. My own findings were they are very intolerant of just about everything I believe in.

Islamophobia is not even a real word. No one is afraid of Islam. Plenty of people despise Islam, revile it, loath it, even hate it. But I know of no one who fears it.

Why, I think to be afraid of Islam is a very natural feeling.

1. There is NO such thing as "Islamophobia" because..
   
2. A "phobia" is defined as: A persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous.
   
3. So by the definition of "phobia", this so-called 'Islamophobia' cannot exist as our mistrust of Muslims is;
   1. Based on FACTS already submitted into evidence -- Like they want ti KILL us all and it IS therefore Dangerous!

ps: same goes for the so-called homophobia. No irrational fear is attached to our just not wanting to be around them or have their 'lifestyle' jammed down our throats (no pun intended).

Very good point. They are using the semantics of "gay" liberation to cast themselves as victims in a situation where they are in nearly all cases the aggressors, and the word "phobia" does imply fear.

Some fear Islam but they are the same type of people buy into the victimhood crap and contribute to CAIR. They are the same ones who express sympathy for hardened criminals while putting in security systems and alarms, even hiring armed bodyguards, while "feeling" that guns are terrible things which ought to be unavailable to the average American. They are the townspeople hiding under their beds while the sheriff and a very few good men with rifles and shotguns stand in the street or perch in ambush, ready.

I'm not sure what to substitute that would imply distrust , disgust, or incipient hatred but those would better describe where most non-muslims' attitudes are heading. A "New Crusade" hasn't begun yet nor, outside one angry remark by Ann Coulter following the murder of a best friend, been even broached as an idea but that may be where we're heading.

I visited my dentist because a plate he had put in was giving me trouble. I was dreading having more dental work right before Christmas. After a brief examination, the dentist exclaimed, "Holy Smoke!
