I am sorry to see Kerik go too, I think he was a great pick. Why do you all think that they do not finish his ethics filing and FBI background investigation before they nominated him?
From what I was reading the problem was one that occurred while he was in Iraq...his wife hired a nanny that may have been an illegal and taxes weren't paid correctly. As I understand what I have read he didn't know this until he was going over records with his attorney.
I always admired Richard Armitage's grit and toughness, forthrightness, broad scope of knowledge and "normal guy" persona. I wonder if he could be considered for this post.
