snugs , I have been following your situation & story w/mum.. I have been caregiver for mine here in her home for 12 + years.

How old is your mum and what is her main problem? I don't know if Oz is still about but I would suspect micro chipping she is referring to puppies and cats being microchipped as she works at a vets.

g'day Dolly! Microchipping Day is when the oragnisation I work for offer discount microchip identification for your dog or cat. We were working in an high government welfare area this morning were folks can't afford the higher price to microchip their pets.

It was a fairly successful morning and we only got verbally abused once! LOL. We were told we should be spending taxpayers money in a better way. I politely asked the "gentleman" to make sure that the gate didn't hit him too hard on the way out and to have a Merry Christmas.....Can't win 'em all!
