What was the 2000 census for citizen population of voting age?

If total population is around 280 million - to include non citizens and minors.....120 million voters is very high.

Yes, the voter turnout easily exceeded 60% of the voting age population. The 2004 election exceeded all estimates. It was the biggest voter turnout since at least 1968 and possibly 1960. The final total could be close to 123 million. I'm not sure of the exact % of VAP, but it's well over 60%. Pres. Bush defied all the experts. He ran a magnificent campaign. I've never seen any presidential candidate campaign as well on the stump. Despite the obvious bias of the MSM, Pres. Bush's message got through, and 62 million Americans responded YES!
