"What is the percentage of the electorate that voted? Did it break 60%?"
Yes, the voter turnout easily exceeded 60% of the voting age population. The 2004 election exceeded all estimates. It was the biggest voter turnout since at least 1968 and possibly 1960. The final total could be close to 123 million. I'm not sure of the exact % of VAP, but it's well over 60%. Pres. Bush defied all the experts. He ran a magnificent campaign. I've never seen any presidential candidate campaign as well on the stump. Despite the obvious bias of the MSM, Pres. Bush's message got through, and 62 million Americans responded YES!
Where do you go to find out the % of voter turnout? Is there a site that lists the current # of ligible voters, so we can do the math?
'Al'
Not according to many fringe-Freepers before the election.
It most certainly did. In fact, in some Dem counties, I would expect they were able to exceed 100% of the eligible vote. Now THAT'S motivation - don't vote once, vote twice, and twice again, and then get dead Uncle Harry's name on a proxy ballot, for good measure.
Wait - this ISN'T the Ukraine?
If it is true that the MSM swung 15% of the vote for Hanoi John then the unbiased vote count could have been 71 million for Bush and 49 million for Kerry.
