Where do you go to find out the % of voter turnout? Is there a site that lists the current # of ligible voters, so we can do the math?

Here is one source but they won't have 2004 data..... The census data will have some estimate of VAP.....
I'm not sure if they do a VEP number...... Here is the 2000 info

2000 Voting Age Population (VAP) and Voting-Eligible Population (VEP) Estimates, Including Turnout Rates

Ineligible Felon
VAP (Procedure 1) % Noncitizens (Census STF3 April 2000) Prisoners Probation Parole Total Ineligible Felon Overseas VEP VEP Vote for Highest Office Total Votes VAP Turnout Rate VEP Turnout Rate VEP Total Turnout Rate
U.S. Total 210,515,246 6.60 2,790,747 1,216,748 1,138,019 4,537,140 2,937,000 195,027,520 105,375,486 110,604,647 (est.) 50.1 54.0 56.7 (est.)

I may have been incorrect when I stated that the 2004 voter turnout exceeded 60% of the VAP. After checking the US Census Bureau information for the Nov. 2002 election, I was surprised to see that the estimate of the total VAP was 210,000,000. Using this estimate and a projected 122.5 million voters in 2004, the VAP % was approximately 58.5%.
