Translation from Hebrew to English by me:
An exhibit in the city of Goteborg in Sweden, that was displaying the suffering of Israeli terror victims, was on a whole vandalized at the hands of three anonymous people, it has been brought to Ynet's attention.
The incident occured yesterday afternoon at the main library in the city. From a report given to the exhibit's organizers, a Swedish guy entered the hall of the exhibit and when he realized the place had only a librarian and a crowd without any security, he went outside and returned with two additional youths, one of them masked.
The three made the librarian move away and in the time of 10 minutes broke and tore up all of the exhibit items - banners with the faces of Israelis who were murdered in the intifada and pictures of busses that had been blown up in terror attacks.
Ping.
Cowards...saw they could do something immature, so they did it...POS
Thank you for the translation Yonif.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel ping list.
WARNING: This is a high volume ping list
Over the course of the ten minutes, did the Swedish librarian call the cops? Is anybody going to be arrested or will the Swedish government decide that this should always be allowed as a form of free expression?
Don't hold your breath.
These people are cowards and bullies, not to mention sick with hatred of G-d and of the Jewish People.
"I wonder if there is going to be condemnation of this destruction, just like there was when the Israeli ambassador kicked over the spotlights illuminating the "artwork" honoring the "Snow White" murderer."
I seriously doubt it. Sweden is just as bad as France. They'll probably "apologize" to the Muslims living there for having permited such an exhibit without considering "muslim sensibilities" and asking "permission" before showing the exhibit. Sweden has slid a long way down from the nation that opened its doors to the Jews rescued by the Danes and who had a man of courage like Raul Wallenburg.
The three told the librarian "don't interfere, such an exhibition should not be here"
The police was called, but they arrived only an hour later.
The exhibition was planned by a group called "Peace in the Middle East" whose membership includes Israelis living in Sweden and pro-Israel Christians. It was in response to another exibition the same hall had (which was displayed there formely), which showed Palestinian suffering and Palestinians who were killed by the IDF. The authorities in the city allowed the followup exhibition in response to what they called "cultural dialogue."
The group "Peace in the Middle East's" Chairman Oded Meiri said: "I live here many years already, and never imagined they would act against us in a physical way. I was in the synagogue today and people there told me the same thing. We only thought they would write stuff in the newspapers, but now we see they attack physically as well. We plan on placing the exhibition somewhere else. We fear other libraries will not allow us to place such an exibition from their fear such an incident will occur again."
Israeli sources said in response: "This is very bad. There is no reason people who have something to say from a pro-Israel perspective will have to fear while Palestinian or leftist groups don't dream that their own exhibition will be vandalized."
Thank you
Just Europeans acting out their true nature...
Sweden is a compassionate country that has courageously banned the cruel and outmoded rituals of brit milah (Jewish circumcision) and kosher slaughter of animals.

I guess the masked guy was arab looking.
Swedish ping.
