It's over. It's certified.
The purely academic recount is tentatively scheduled for Monday-Wednesday and the GOP has plenty of recount observers.

You've got some good points. I believe there to be substantial Fifth Columns, certainly within government and to an extent within high tech. And I do not limit my definition of Fifth Column to the traditional far left wing of the Democrat Party. There are also Islamist and Commie symps within the Fifth Columns, who hate and want to destroy the USA.

The possibility that the machines can be tampered with to ill effect after an election may be more realistic than many people realize, because there is precedent for it. I just tried to call this up in a web search, but found nothing that discussed the controversy, but there was an election stolen in the Louisiana gubernatorial primary -- yes I know we're talking about Louisiana, but bear with me, it's my state and I know the history of election fraud as well as anyone because of that -- in 1979.
Here in Louisiana people vote on the mechanical voting machines in which you close the curtain by pulling the main lever upon entry, then you pull the switches for the candidates and referenda choices, and then cast your vote by pulling the main lever, which records your vote and you leave. Our state law is that the votes are reported on election night after being recorded by the precinct commissioners, the machines are then "sealed" by belted wire and "tagged" to show the seal is intact, the machines are then brought "under seal" to a central collection warehouse in the parish [county for the rest of the country] and the following Tuesday the machines are reopened and the votes recorded then and there are the "official" votes counted, forget what is reported on election night, those numbers are "unofficial."
In the gubernatorial election of 1979 on election night returns showed Republican David Treen leading a field of six viable candidates, the other five were all Democrats [we have no political primaries in Louisiana], with the second place finisher being then Lt. Governor, Democrat Jimmy Fitzmorris. But when the machines were opened the ensuing Tuesday, Fitzmorris lost his runoff spot to another Democrat, Louis Lambert, a Public Service Commissioner who had the backing of organized labor. A lot of evidence from testimony was produced to show that the "official" returns did not match what precinct commissioners from something like twelve precincts in two or three parishes observed and reported on election night and some arrests were made of individuals who evidently broke into the machines and altered the numbers. But in spite of all this, the courts would not overturn the "official" count because none of the individuals arrested would testify to the fraud and the clock was ticking for the runoff.
The evidence that the election had been stolen by someone messing with the voting machines after election day was overwhelmingly obvious to everyone who viewed the situation objectively. Do you doubt me on this? Well how's this for evidence . . . after Fitzmorris dropped his court challenge all four of the Democrats who were beaten in the primary endorsed the Republican David Treen for Governor! This is no lie! They were known as the "Gang of Four" and included the Democrat Speaker of the Louisiana House, Bubba Henry; the Democrat Floor Leader of the State Senate Edgar Mouton; a prominent Democratic State Senator Paul Hardy, who would later become a Republican and be elected Secretary of State; and the aforementioned Lt. Governor and Democrat Jimmy Fitzmorris. Treen narrowly won election in the runoff and became the first Republican Governor of Louisiana since Reconstruction.
So my advice to everyone is not to take lightly what DIM1 puts up in his post. There is both ample room for mischief after the machines are used on election night and a precedent within the political history of the Democratic Party.

There must be at least a dozen freepers over at DUmmyland talking up the Ohio fraud story bragging Bush is going to jail and Kerry is going to be inagurated.
Too friggin funny. Boy are they gonna be disappointed, again. Ahhh that fresh Schadenfreude smell.

Whos Watching the Store in Ohio and Elsewhere?LOL! The scumbag Democrats, like that Democrat party hack in Florida four years ago who got caught driving around with a voting machine in the trunk of his car, aren't even sophisticated enough to outsmart Fred Flintstone on an abacus let alone steal Ohio. Forget about it.
