RIP. David.
Dave, we loved you buddy, we always will.
Rest in Peace in the arms of the mighty one.
And yet, somehow, Sh$%head Clinton and Bimbokilling Fat Teddy soldier on. And on, and on and . . . .
He got HIV/AIDS at least 10 years ago. Surprised he made it this long.
One of the smartest, most eloquent voices ever to grace the broadcast airways.
Not always right, but a towering intelligence, and he will be missed.
WBZ reporting that he passed at 6:11 PM. He was a decent an honorable fellow. I will miss him, as will many others. God Bless you David.
He was also extremely fairminded.
Called him once when he was discussing "gay rights" (which he opposed, even though he was homosexual). I posited that societies would never fully accept homosexuality because it violated the fundamental genetic code which drives humans toward procreation.
The next half dozen callers were sputtering with outrage about my comment, but Brudnoy actually expanded on it and agreed with the idea.
That's a shame. I used to listen to him nightly when I lived in boston. Every once in a while I could receive the show here in Va Beach. RIP Dave.
Damn shame. He was what all talk show hosts should be.
You will be missed, thank you for many enjoyable hours of listening, and discussion when I called in. A great teacher indeed.
You helped my greatly in my epistemological journey towards conservatism, for that I cannot thank you enough.
dave was one of the best. i listened in boston for 15 years. wonder if bob from billerica is still around. adios my friend.
WBZ programming a memorial evening right now until midnight. Listeners calling in expressing thoughts of David Brudnoy. Earlier a woman named Galena called in. She was an immigrant still speaks with accent. Listened to David every night. She called him her "American University." Spoke of her gratitude for his presence in her life. She spoke for all who were influenced by this decent, honourable man. Probably the most intellectually honest man in the NE. b
David was THE man that first opened my mind to conservatism. He called himself a Libertarian but the bottom line was he was a Conservative.
David, I know you didn't believe in God as such but I still hope that God will give you a pass. In so many ways you did God's work in a troubled area (New England).
Take care David.
(I live in NH and hope I'll be able to make the funeral.)
The best mind in the media for many years. And a decent personality to boot. We went out with class and dignity.
Bye Dave! Thanks for all you've been while you were here.Wherever you wind up,I think Upper management ahs a new position for you.
Any here think God will give him a gig on His station??
A great voice in Boston radio. He will be missed.
God, another good one taken from us. i am glad to see those who would dance around a ring and throw rocks at his corpse haven't made it to this thread yet.
R.I.P.
Farewell to a very brave man.
They won't if they have any decency, but will have to be pretty bold. When I started a thread on Melissa Etheridge's announcement that she was fighting cancer (and she now seems to have won the first round), the few snide posters got pulled-but not before they got pounded on mercilessly by everyone else on the thread.
