Osama doesn't have to lift a finger to destroy our nation's future. The Leftists and the ACLU are doing it for him.

The closest meaning of the word 'Jihad' is indeed 'struggle,' and it can in fact refer to something political or military in nature (as a holy war or rebellion against non-Muslims) or completely internal (as a struggle against baser desires out of tune with the will of Allah).
To: rightwinggoth
'Jihad' as used by the radical islamists that we're fighting means just one thing: doing anything and everything to try to subjugate or destroy all non-muslims in order to establish the rule of islam over the entire world.
The likelihood that any textbook writer will tell that truth is...zero.
To: missyme
This should be in there.

He said, "Every committee that I'm invited to sit [on], if there are religious institutions that are brought in, I never see conservative Christians, for example." Therein lies the problem with education.

The familiar images of Islam include praying at Mecca, and the prophet Muhammad, a man Muslims say is the messenger of God. But this is not the whole story.
The rest of the story:
Prophet of Doom - Islams Terrorist Dogma, In Muhammads Own Words
Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories.
Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money.
He was a terrorist.
And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence at www.prophetofdoom.net.

Islam: This is a truthful hardhitting analysis that all of Freerepublic, the West and America needs to read and understand
Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur'an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth

Islam indoctrination ping!
Should we be surprised that text books are now in public schools teaching Islam and Muhammad in a positive light?
And at the same time The Bible and Jesus are not permitted on the premises.
Another reason I am thankful to be homeschooling my children.
