December 8, 2004 -- Donald Trump knows the "Art of the Deal" - and he is proving it by getting this $1.5 million wedding ring for free. He will present it to Melania Knauss at their upcoming nuptials. The Donald has arranged a deal with the tony Graff diamond sellers, in which the company will provide a 13-carat masterpiece ring in return for the November appearance of the jeweler's products on "The Apprentice," a source close to Trump said yesterday.
In addition, Trump's sexy model fiance has agreed to pose in ads for the tony, high-end gem seller as part of the overall bling-bling-for-shilling deal, the source said.

He makes her work for her wedding ring. What a classy guy.
Apprentice ping?
What happens to the ring when she's fired ?
Ya gotta earn it, sweetheart. Just like everyone else in the Trump empire.
(steely)
NBC sent me a survey about this show asking me if I'd like to see more "celebrities" on the show. I told them that if I start seeing P. Diddy on the Apprentice, I will immediately shut it off and never tune in again. This show was a heck of a lot better when the contestants were selling lemonade on street corners. Now, they have the help of high end advertisers, designers. Anyone can do this.
I guess it was inevitable. But a question to Mr. Trump, when is enough enough? It must suck never to be satisfied. That's my 2 cents. (Which Trump would gladly take from me).

I think Trump's only signed for one more show, so your prediction is probably quite right.
Why not BUY the ring? Seems to me the ring should represent the giver's heart and treasure. As a woman, the ring would me more to me if I knew my man had to spend from his toil to get it for me.
Tacky. I wonder how long this marriage will last?
Are you kidding? With this guy's ego, and this being the only way he's going to be on prime time, this show will continue as long as there are ratings.
Some watchers hate to admit they watch it (I'm sorta in that rhelm), but it is by far the best so-called reality show. Not because it is reality at all, but because it is a lesson in why back-stabbing "business" tactics won't get you very far.
Its also a unique opportunity to show Trump's situational ethics.
A better question would be, "Why does he even bother?"
Well, you and I disagree what "enough" is. I'm also talking about how you "get" it. I think Trump is evidence that you can be rich beyond belief, but have no class.
Cheapskate.
Ugh! The Donald, Carolyn, and George have all been whining, whining, whining about how Jennifer slides under the radar every week, and yet here she is in the final two.
On the other hand, I've always liked Kelly and thought he's done an excellent job so far, so I'm glad he's in the final two.
Yes. I agree. Although it's by chance that those two woman happened to be the one that made the final 4. I don't think either of them were the best. I really thought it would be Kevin and Kelly. They chose a really strange reason for booting Kevin. In the end, I think Kelly's going to win. Provided of course, he doesn't bomb on this polo project. It appears they're both going to suffer some setbacks in that regard if you saw the previews.
Hildy, I normally enjoy your posts, but I must say I'm very disappointed in your attacks on Donald Trump. Gcruse is right on. Greed is what gets you out of bed every morning. It's what makes this country great. As was said many years ago, GREED IS GOOD. We don't need to tear down someone to make us seem taller. Trump's got his quirks, but what I love about getting to know a rich man's personality is you get to see how very human they are.
What has he every done on the show to make you question his ethics? Regarding his doing a fourth show, I think Trump will get out on top by retiring after the last one he's signed for (#3).
Nonetheless, you didn't say you wouldn't take it :)
>>What has he every done on the show to make you question his ethics?<<
For one thing, his supposed indignence of that last chick's "stripping" when several of the tasks that have included all women he has encouraged or at least ignored sexy sales techniques. Ivana was correct when she said (or tried to get across) that her techniques were no different than the other two bimbo's on that chocolate assignment. Go back to last season and earlier this year when all the women were together on tasks and used sex to sell. Trump didn't care, if they won or made money. When they lost, they heard about it.
That's the pattern with all this. I think I've seen every App. episode except maybe one or two, and I see Trump praising risk taking when it works and calling it "too big a risk" when it doesn't. One can say, "it pays to be a winner" and that's true, but say that, and don't praise the supposed effort that got the win if you aren't going to praise the same effort when it comes up short. He wants it both ways and this is an ethical flaw.
War is a total win at all costs event. No rules, no nothing, just win. Period. Business and other events isn't quite that severe. There's degrees of winning and at what costs, but it has to be evaluated. Yes, I play sports to win, but I'm not going to cheat. I try cases to win, but I'm not going to violate the law or counsel a client to commit perjury.
