You no the black constituency has basically sold out to the Democratic Party. Instead of forcing the Dems to do something with substance to earn their support, they have basically thrown their allegiance to them while requiring nothing in return. That's why Dems feel free to bash any black conservatives because they have escaped the so-called plantation. When the majority of blacks finally wake up and realize that they need to hold the party they support responsible in order to gain that support, they will have a voice that is worth listening to. You don't hear the Dems blasting Hispanics the same way they do blacks who are conservative. Could it be that they realize Hispanics will hold them up to scrutiny and if they find them lacking, vote for the party that will address their needs. What Dr. Rice and Justice Thoomas have in common is through hard work they have made something of themselves. Instead of holding the Barry Bonds and Ron Artests up as role models to young blacks we should be holding these two up. They've earned the respect that is justly do them. So WAKE UP BLACK AMERICA and hold the Democrats accountable for their words and actions against black conservatives as well as black liberals. Bigotry is bigotry irregardless of your party affiliation.

I run a homeless ministry in the inner city. Even with a devout Christian running for President, most black pastors could not see their interests coincided with Bush.

They voted Kerry, in the main. The consequences of this decision hurt the people they claim to want to help. Like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, it is clear there is not much conviction to Christian principles underlying the politics.
