"Abortion is a GOP policy." ... What does the Scriptures say about a root of bitterness? ... Abortion is a policy endorsed by a lot of politicians unable to or unwilling to acknowledge the LIFE of the pre-born. To say it's a GOP policy the way you keep insisting, as if the DNC is merely a bystander in the farce, is getting a bit old, Askel.

Marvin ...

It's a FACT, my dear man. Don't you read any of my threads I link again and again and again and again and again and again?

Do you really think I'd still be posting here if it weren't a FACT that abortion is a GOP policy?

I am very sorry to see you falling into the realm of Personal Interpretation such that you too are taking the "Askel hates Bush and the Pubbies" schtick. Don't understand I couldn't care less about Bush and most of my family and friends are Republicans for whom I have intense love and respect.

Doesn't change the THE FACT that abortion is GOP policy.

Read the links! I'm not going to say I told you so or anything. And I won't "wish I could see your face" as the truth dawns on you. Why? Because I remember what my face looked like -- and what my stomach felt like -- as it dawned on me.

We'll talk once you've read the links on this post.

Start with this one: Recommendations of the Task Force on Earth Resources and Population (George H. Bush, Chairman)

I doubt you can cast the Congressional Record as Conspiracy Central.

Please do not fail to scan through the entire thread, paying especially close attention to a few posts by Toenail wherein George Bush is appearing before Congress so that the committee hearing testimony newly-appointed eugenicists on subjects such as Down Breeding, Genetic/Hereditary Quality, the breeding of superior people "like cattle," and the prospects of "immunology" for population control.

Prepare to be sickened but hurry up and get angry for being taken for a stooge all your life.

I'm not bitter, Marvin. But if there's one thing that makes me very angry (if not also a bit depressed at times), it's the way folks I love and respect and know to be true have taken the bait of some some Big Lies ... hook, line and sinker.

It's a very frightening thing and not something you can always do something about.

Because the sad fact of the matter is, Marvin, that folks are far more Emotionally attached to their leaders than you would believe. That's why some truly can't conceive of my criticizing Bush without presuming I must "hate" him if I don't "love" him.

Very frightening thought, really. But one I try not to entertain regardless how often I'm reminded of same by the constant smearing of me on this forum as a "Bush-hater".

Absurd. Any Catholic who prays the Rosary almost daily as do I, prays at least five times a day that even those "most in need of mercy" will be led to Heaven. In other words, I probably pray for Bush more often than those who love him.

Thoughts on both of your points:

Marvin, I suspect that Askel is not so much bitter as she is trying to alert the readers to the fact that the GOP is not the pristine "Party of Life and Family" that so many sheeple, including many good folk on FR seem to believe. Many very well intentioned and sincere Pro-Life people get quite defensive when the facade of the GOP is pulled back.

I've been a registered Republican since the week of my 18th birthday and this continued GOP involvement disgusts me beyond words!

We cannot defeat the scourge of abortion without understanding "who's who" and "what's what" NSSM200 is a major part of the puzzle that needs to be taken into serious account. The "Pro-Life" plank of the GOP Convention Platform is a lie when seen next to the actual policy that the party continues.

The fact is Kissinger wrote 200 for a GOP Prez and Ford, another GOP, continued it.

Askel, IMO it may be better to finish the thought:

Abortion was part of a policy of global AND domestic population control and eugenics; which was enacted via executive order by two consecutive Republican administrations, with massive support from the Rockefeller wing of the Democrat party. This quickly became entrenched US government policy and embraced by many of both major political parties. NSSM200 has remained in effect through all administrations since it's implementation.
