I'm not saying there isn't more to be done (I'd like to see a formal retraction of the memo, too) but it seems odd to me that this story isn't acknowledging Mexico City or Bush's UNFPA de-funding in any way, shape or form.

I also think that you have to have more evidence than this to prove that a government is still consciously following a policy laid out 30 years ago; to say a lot of things have changed since the Nixon and Ford administrations is to put things lightly. True, we still pay for family planning, but the problem is that the sexual revolution made "family planning" so seemingly innocuous that I'd be surprised if we didn't have federal bureaucrats doing this, Kissinger memo or no Kissinger memo.

Actually, the burden of proof is on proving this is NOT still policy at the highest levels. Unfortunately, it still is.
