In Cabinet news, John Snow agreed to continue serving as Secretary of the Treasury. Veterans Affairs Secretary Anthony Principi submitted his resignation to President Bush, who said, "As a valuable member of my Cabinet, Tony Principi has served as a tireless advocate for 25 million veterans."
It's a short trip to Sanity Island today / tonight, as there aren't many photos.

Visitors pose for photographs in front of a new celebrity wax work nativity scene unveiled at Madame Tussauds London, featuring (L-R) American actor Samuel L. Jackson, British actor Hugh Grant and Irish comedian Graham Norton as the shepherds, with English soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria as Joseph and Mary, with Australian singer Kylie Minogue (top) as the angel and Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair, the Duke of Edinburgh, and President Bush as the three wise men, Dec. 7, 2004.

Loved the VP's comments to the troops in Afganistan yesterday
"""Our coalition still has important work to do. Freedom still has enemies here in Afghanistan -? and you are here to make those enemies miserable."""

This may also be a repeat, but I ran out of new photos already, and this is cool. My PC wouldn't load all the photos from yesterday so forgive the duplications, if they are indeed that.
Camp Pendleton yesterday -- they seem to like the raised keyhole platform-podium arrangement

That Nativity scene at Tussaud's is despicable. It's a jab at Bush/Blair and Christianity IMO. The angel looks like a stripper.

Repeats are never a bad thing. Any picture of my president, even if I've seen it a million times (like the ones on my walls), always make me happy :)

Hi to everybody!

This was a day of blessings for me.
I went with a friend to see The Incredibles and the theater put us in the wrong cinema (Alexander the Great was showing), so when I went out to find out which cinema we should be in, a theater employee gave me two tickets to see the movie again, since we had missed the beginning. Then when we got up to go to the right cinema, she ran into us and gave us two MORE free tickets.
After watching the movie (loved it!), we stopped to get me a Christmas tree at a place where I'd seen living trees on sale for $10.00. They were marked down to $5.00; I found a nice one, but the price wasn't on it, so the cashier scanned another tree and it was $3.99 for a gorgeous evergreen in a pot (that I hope will live till next year, outdoors).
It was all very cool.
