We are writing to express our support of United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who has recently been under attack by some American lawmakers for the U.Ns Oil-for-Food program scandal occurring under his watch. Such an attack on the second-term Secretary-General and Nobel Peace laureate is disgraceful and premature. There has been no hint of impropriety on the part of the Secretary-General, who on numerous occasions has proven his honesty and integrity. Furthermore, we specifically reject all calls for his resignation. If one of the Bush daughters had taken bribes, you know these folks would be drafting letters of impeachment.

Joining Kucinich on the letter were Reps. Watson (D-CA), Lee (D-CA), Davis (D-IL), Hinchey (D-NY), Woolsey (D-CA), Solis (D-CA), Brown (D-OH), McDermott (D-WA), Clay (D-MO), Filner (D-CA), Stark (D-CA), Serrano (D-NY), Baldwin (D-WI), Farr (D-CA), Olver (D-MA), Sanders (I-VT), Miller (D-CA), Rodriguez (D-TX), Kleczka (D-WI), and Jackson-Lee (D-TX). Quite a group there. ....anti-Semites, socialists, Islamophiles, the works.

Oh jeeze. How pathetic. This is a new low in pandering.
Nearly reminiscent of Cynthia McKinney writing to the Saudis.

Upon receiving the letter from Congressman Kucinich, Kofi Annan was reported to have exclaimed, "Oh s**t! If this nut supports me, I'm dead now!"

It's sad how this has become partisan politics.

I wish I could say I'm "surprised", but I'd be lying. What do you expect from people who still think we were wrong to liberate the Iraqi's and the Afghani's. Supporting Koffi Annan is like dancing with the devil.

I'm beginning to think the Dems have a lot to lose if an honest investigation is ever conducted. I think some of the stolen loot ended up in Dem coffers.

What a bunch of idiots... They seem to not want to jump to conclusions over Kofi Annon, but where these people jumping to conclusions over the Marine in Fallujah? Hmmmm Maybe a study needs to be done...
