N.M. official nabbed for drug possession

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A member of New Mexico's powerful Public Regulation Commission was arrested Wednesday after being caught with marijuana at the airport, authorities said.

Commissioner E. Shirley Baca, 53, was jailed on drug possession charges and released on bail. She was arrested before boarding a flight to New York to participate in an investment conference.

A Democrat, Baca was elected in 2002 for a four-year term to the five-member PRC, which oversees electricity and gas rates, insurance, pipelines, telecommunications, fire districts and transportation in New Mexico.

"I'm stunned," fellow Commissioner David King said. He said Baca had advocated zero tolerance and immediate dismissal of any PRC employee when it comes to drugs or alcohol.

Baca was a state representative from 1993 to 1996 and an unsuccessful candidate for Congress.

A call to her Santa Fe office was not immediately returned.

"Baca had advocated zero tolerance and immediate dismissal of any PRC employee when it comes to drugs or alcohol." Heh. The next public statement by this hypocrite is predictable, "Zero tolerance for thee, but not for me."

No, what's funnier is that punching you in the head is a crime.

I love to see morals Nazis hoist on their own petards.

Here's a first: they identified her as a Dimocrat!

Normally, only Republican lawbreakers are identified as to party affiliation.

I feel much safer knowing that the guy who pats people down at the airport is looking for pot and not bombs, guns or box cutters.

Me too. But then I come from the little "l" libertarian wing the the vast right-wing conspiracy. As far as I am concerned, the feds have no constitutional power to legislate drug laws, and no need to twist the arms of the States to do so either. ;>)

What is funny is that neither of you get it.
Look for many more of these events.
Planting is the next stage in growing a restored Republic.
Many politicians, pundits and police will be going down
in the near future. A concerted effort to hoist these fools
by there own petard is under way. So, be really careful
that nobody has bumped into you and placed something
in your pocket or pocketbook at the airport, because
denials will get you violated in an even more personal way.
Any supposed innocence is nothing more than ignorance
of the potential outcome of that which they support.

Substance, not name-calling, should be the central focus of posting.
Think 'thought' rather than reacting on simple subjective impulses.
But, then that be tough for a Sith. Turn away from the dark side.

'Sith' is Scots Gaelic for 'Peace'. Read my tagline.

You're still a kook.

I actually googled it.
So, I was just trying to be humorous.
Pax is peace as well.
