It will be a sad day when noone has the ability to choose a single gender college.
It does sound like breach of at least implied contract...for the aggrieved women not to file suit would be a waiver and acceptance of the breach/revised contract. Sounds like the policy of the college changed for financial gain and now they've infuriated their main market to bring in a few more bucks. Bad strategic move. Betcha an adminstrative head or two rolls over this and the "new policy" is repealed. That's what SHOULD happen anyway.
Meanwhile, much more attention should be given to single-sex Junior High/Senior High schools....it's not just for the elitists anymore....
If you bothered to read the article, you would have saved yourself a moot comment.
Administrators don't want to admit men until the current freshman class graduates in 2008....
Name one "single-gender" college for males.
(The women who enrolled at Wells College under the assumption that they would enjoy a same-sex educational environment are getting the shaft.)
Euuh, you may want to rephrase that! LOL!
Name a publicly funded all male college?
