First CBS and now WHYY-FM. Will it never end?
Rachel Buchman, a 25-year-old ace reporter who has been with the public radio facility for about three years, has quit her job.
The move came after she "lost her temper" and left a voice-mail message to Laptoplobbyist.com, a conservative Internet site.
Her message said, "Hi, my name is Rachel, and my telephone number is... I wanted to tell you that you're evil, horrible people. You're awful people. You represent horrible ideas. God hates you and he wants to kill your children. You should all burn in hell. Bye."
Chris Carmouche, Laptoplobbyist executive director who had never heard of Ms. Buchman, discovered her WHYY (90.9) connection when he returned her call. During their conversation, he questioned her journalistic objectivity.
Then Carmouche e-mailed his 150,000 members a transcript of the message and a link to an audio clip of it. He said he did that "to put some perspective on the term 'media bias.'"
Ms. Buchman resigned or turned in her press card or whatever those public radio folks do and offered apologies "to anyone who I may have personally offended" for what she called a "mistake."
We all make mistakes, Ms. Buchman.
Winston Churchill once said, "any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30 and is not a conservative, has no brain."
You have a long five years to cultivate your gray matter.
I will share an embarrassing secret with you. I once voted for Jimmy Carter.

You really should read the whole column.
LOL!!!
As for Rachel ... Hey, I have a tempter too ... but never would I call someone a rant off a message like that
Isn't that the job of liberals?
That woman is 25? Sheesh, maybe I should start hanging around lesbians.......I'd look young....... ;^)
It was Surrick who nailed Rolf Larsen and booted him from the PA Supreme Court.;
Is that Rachael or is it the Fresh Air goof?
Homosexual Agenda Ping - "The Rest of the Story."
Just so you know the happy ending.
Let me and ItsOurTimeNow know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
That's a man.......that's a man.......
That's not Rachel. That's Terry Gross, the host of "Fresh Air," a liberal interview show on NPR that is produced by the same station where Rachel worked.
Terry Gross is pretty much as old as she looks.
Brown skirt alert
That's not Rachel. This is Rachel below on the left (of course), in her natural habitat:
I would respectfully disagree. This is the important part:
Biotechnology has so far had its greatest impact in medicine. Its application in making recombinant vaccines and recombinant insulin for treating diabetes has been a great success. In agriculture, a number of the applications of biotechnology in clonal micro-propagation of plants have been successful. Propagation of seedlings for re-forestation, fruit trees, and floriculture has been a tremendous contribution. The problems have come in its application to make transgenic food items. The announcement by a company regarding its capability to produce seeds containing terminator genes caused quite a negative stir against biotechnology by many people in Africa.
Thanks for clarifying that - she definitely looks 25, or younger......... maybe it's that hairstyle - I pulled my daughter's hair up in a "Pebbles Flintstone" thing when she was 3.......... ;^)
I think you're looking at a different article.
-either way, one must admit her actions caused quite a negative stir against biotechnology.
oooookaaaay.
I was just yanking your chain.
:)
How does someone barely out of diapers get to be an ace reporter?
By hating Republicans, of course.
