On the 63rd anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, President Bush flew to Camp Pendelton, California and back again to speak with the Marines, and thank them for their service and great sacrifice, but made it clear that the War on Terror is not over. After his public appearance, the President met privately with the families of 50 Marines who have died in Iraq.
The President is leading with strength and certainty, so its a good time to be a Bushbot! ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!
I was standing about 6 feet away from him for about 2 hours at a rally in Racine WI. That was a nice way to pass a couple of hours waiting for Dubya!
Darn straight! He's strong, kind, smart, determined, wonderful, amazing, God-filled, handsome, charming, loving and, most of all, he's a TRUE leader! And since I've forgotten to say it in a while, I LOOOOOOOOVE DUBYA!!!!!!!!
Loser
That's great......Thanks...President Bush really loves the troops......and I do too!!!
God Bless the President, and God keep our soldiers safe..
Great Christmas present....
Mliz
I think he's a Barney FRANK republican. :)
Oh really? Wonder why, maybe it was felt that because pet adoptions aren't really recommended during the holidays, the WH wouldn't be setting a good example? Which also seems a bit silly. Oh well after Christmas is fine too.
I hate dial-up. It's so slow. What glorious pictures I have seen so far.
LOL! The Hildabeast would say ANYTHING to get elected! But those Trolls are so on fire with their irrational hatred of our President, they would probably believe anything she says!
THANKS for the great pictures! A nice surprise before bed. :-)
I was fortunate enough to see the event live, and after the speech (in which the Pres. had tears in his eyes several times) the TV cameras showed him shaking hands in the crowd. Only, the Pres. was apparently much shorter than most of the soldiers, because all you could see was the hands reaching over the heads of the people in front, in attempt to shake the hands of the Pres. It was kind of cute.
I think she said the puppy wouldn't be old enough until then. That's what she told the kiddies at the White House Christmas thingy. (I forget the name of the event.)
Yeah. What was she thinking?
That food looks yummy and that lady is really lucky to be seated by the Pres. . . . I think I'd be afraid to eat in front of him . . . I'd probably get a big chunk of that corn stuck between my teeth and then try to talk to him . . . LOL!
W is in his element when he is with our troops. He makes me so proud.
hukt on fonix dint werkt fer FrankRep, did it?!
LOL! (I agree--I'm hoping this person is gone for now)
He didn't need the Secret Service THAT day! Surrounded by all those Marines, he couldn't be anywhere safer! Our troops love their country, and they love their commander-in-chief!
The President landed here at Marimar Marine Air Base
Home of the 3rd Marine Air wing. After he Chopperedup
to Camp Pendleton. The 1st Marine Div. were the first
to do major battle in AFganastan. They took the airport
early in the Iraq war and took Bagdad. They are now
doing the bulk in Falujah.
Over 200 marines from Camp Pendleton have been killed
More than any base and the busiest base in the US.
A couple of my 2nd cousins were those who went into Bagdad.
One a Navy Dr. with the 1st Marines.
My dad called after the President's speech. He was touched
when he mentioned Gen Chesty Puller from the Korean war
and the frozen Chosin, as he was with the 1st Marines there.
Won the purple heart and bronz star, etc.
Hey! He's talking with a "Red Patcher"!
***Has anyone noticed SS agent Nick Trotta in any photos?***
I don't think I've seen him in pictures, but I have seen him with the Pres. Can't rem. exactly where, but I was relieved to see him on duty. Do you suppose they rotate agents frequently? Or maybe he's taking some vacation time before Christmas? I hope he didn't get in trouble over that, tho I can't imagine the Pres. would let that happen.
That is the best Christmas picture yet!!!
Even with the dreaded bow . . . they have got to be the most handsome couple in the whole USA.
OH MY is right!
Just . . . OH, MY!
They said on the news he met with families of loved ones who had been killed. Can't remember the exact number of families, but even just talking with one grieving family would be exhausting. I have such admiration for him for doing that . . . and for the absolute lack of publicity he insists on in doing it.
