BEIJING (Reuters) - China's largest personal computer maker, Lenovo Group Ltd., said Wednesday it is buying control of IBM's PC-making business for US$1.25 billion, capping the U.S. tech giant's gradual withdrawal from the business it helped pioneer in 1981.

Nice backstabbing job there IBM !!!!!!!!!
Guess I won't be buying that ThinkPad after all!
Great.
Boycott IBM!
Think of the reinvestment this will lead to, the more profitable biz lines that can be developed, new and different jobs, and the greater margins - leading to more profits for stockholders (including retirement plans), who in turn invest, create jobs, buy homes, pay tuition, and so on, and so on......

Where do you people buy made in America computers anyway? All the components are shipped from overseas.

I'm glad the health industry is growing. We are going to need it.
IBM still makes money on every PC.
They have patents up the wazoo.
