I've done my part on this subject. Voted yes for prop 187, then sold my house to someone who is paying twice as much property tax on the same property. I admit it doesn't help that I'm not contributing $20,000 in state income tax to California every year. Idaho is happy with half that amount.

YOu are so right. I took this very issue up with Monica Crowley on WABC NY last week. Hillary is already making noises about being against Illegal Immigration and against Bush's Amensty plans.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember where I read about it. If it comes to me, I'll post it.

This is the open door for the Dems into the 2008 Whitehouse. And they will promise us anything to get back into power. And this is the issue which cuts across party lines and unites the country. If the Reps don't do it, the Demns will be more than happy,

We need Tom McClintock. John and Ken have certainly made Drier and others look at the issue. GOP had better get their ducks in order by 2008... Hillary will use illegal immigration as platform and there goes the party. Arnold is certainly better than Davis.... but starting to bend to liberals, hispanics. All talk no action

So you think that the illegal immigrant problem in CA is Bush's fault?

Last I heard, illegal aliens cross a *Federal* border. They enter from Texas, Arizona, and California.

Yes, It's Bush's fault. The buck stops with him.

And are you also going to blame the epic invasion of Illinois, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada etc, etc on California too?

Which means that if there are 15 million illegals+ in total as is widely believed then the country as a whole is spending about $45 billion on illegals.

It would cost us less than that to round every one of them up and ship them out.

Two points:

Point One: So much for the Republican/Democrat canard, "Do you want to pay $6 for a head of lettuce?"

Guess what? We're paying a lot more than $6.

Point Two: Eliminate benefits for illegals. Many of them will deport themselves, and fewer will sneak into the country in the first place.

And just so you know, it was President Bush that appointed Federal Judge David C. Bury, the judge that blocked AZ Proposition 200 from becoming law.

Always the big issues you will find the "Two-Party Cartel" side with the liberal bent. Remember there will be NO true conservatives put on the Supreme Court. There will be no substantial reform of illegal immigration. NOT until we all vote outside of the box.

They will talk it but then won't implement it.

That is exactly what it's going to take.

Until then, we've been had!

You're wrong about us Republicans in California

I was referring to the politicians in their ivory towers, the ones who refuse to listen to us and are selling us out. I'm one of those (ex) Republicans who are absolutely fed up with the mess that California is experiencing.

Can't stand Hillary, but I agree with what she said about being against illegal immigration, though she probably didn't mean it.

From the article:
"I think FAIR is without doubt an extremist organization that tries to portray itself as a mainstream group," said Christian Ramirez, director of the San Diego office of the American Friends Service Committee, an advocate group for legal and illegal immigrants.

This Commie group is calling FAIR "extremist"? That's funny!

She is making a (fake) move to the center. Her interview with Greta on Fox was positively frightening.

You bet. Right now they have a big incentive to come to the US.

Do they know how to do anything but lie? I'm glad I didn't see her on Greta. Her voice gives me nightmares.

What we must do is keep the pressure on, so that the GOP knows that if they don't TCB on their watch, they are putting their incumbants in jeopardy the next time around. Of course, conservatives won't support Hillary, but if HRC gets it, then someone else more palatable, maybe Evan Bayh(sp?) can get it as well.

My country first, my party second.

it has occurred to me that californians are experiencing payback time...remember ..late 1700's /early1800's,i'm no us history buff, but i do know that it's factual history that the mexicans lost california to the usa and have been waiting for decades to take it back..it now appears that they have reacquired the state and that the citizens of the usa are going to be paying for this enchilada for generations to come...bcboy
