Wearing a Canadian maple leaf is probably the most dangerous thing one can do when in a foreign country. Canada had one of it's citizens killed by Iranians in 2003 and the Iranian government essentially laughed in the face of the Canadian protests because Canada has no way to protect its own citizens even on its own soil let alone in a foreign country.
