This building used to be known as the Field Building (as in Marshall Field, whose estate developed the building). The ugly sculpture in the foreground ;-) is the Picasso on the Plaza.

I was there the day they unveiled that thing back in the late 60's.
I was a little kid and it was pretty perplexing to see the cover come off and be told I was looking at a duck.

This building used to be known as the Field Building (as in Marshall Field, whose estate developed the building). The ugly sculpture in the foreground ;-) is the Picasso on the Plaza. Correct on the building name, but not on the Pick-asso. It's in the plaza of City Hall a couple blocks north.
