About the current U.S. attitude I do not know anything - please feel free to inform me on this. How about the best solution instead. Conservation is much better handled by market forces than government edict. I suggest you read Natural Process. It is the perfect solution and doesn't involve the corrupt UN.

Are you aware of any publications comprehensible to non-scientists and economists that describe or predict the market feasibility threshhold for widespread use of alternatively powered cars, etc.?
Aside from the policy reasons related to reducing global warming, (and I am no scientist about this subject!), we have some very obvious and compelling reasons to reduce dependence upon ME oil. Is anyone arguing the two grounds simultaneously?
