It's that time of year again! Enter Stage Right want to know who you think made the biggest impact during 2004!
Last year's winner was none other than U.S. President George W. Bush (who made history by becoming the first three-time winner of our prize)...can he do it again? (See below for a complete list of winners.)
All you have to do is tell us their name and a few good reasons why you think your nominee should be named the ESR Person of the Year for 2004. Only one entry per person. Nominations will be accepted until December 31, 2004 and the results will be posted January 3, 2005.
You can make your choice at http://www.enterstageright.com/conyear.htm.
Our Lord and Master Karl Rove
I think the FReeper who sank Dan Rather's career.......
Buckhead. :-)
I suggest that Terry McAwful was so inept and hateful that he has done more for the cause of conservatives than even the clintons.
Bingo! I couldn't remember his handle....
Buckhead for Post 47
John O'Neil and the Swift Boat Vets
Buckhead was singlehandedly responsible for bringing down Dan Rather, he symbolizes the New Media and the demise of the Old. Even more than Drudge's breaking of the Lewinsky story -- which established the Internet as a potential media outlet -- this story tore down the so-called mainstream media below the Internet.
Buckhead is the Cyber-Martin Luther or the Cyber-Crispus Attucks.....
I refuse to nominate anyone for any "person of the year". If the Enter Stage Right people are so stupid that they do not know that "man" covers both men and women, then they are as politcally correct as Time magazine.
Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall of the Massachusetts Supreme Court.
She singlehandedly gave us the ammunition with which to kick the Dems collective behinds on the gay marriage issue. Granted it was unintentional, but I'd love to see her honored for it. Well, at least see her reaction to it. :)
Goodness, such venom. I call it Person of the Year because we're celebrating a...wait for it!...person. If you think ESR is politically correct it means you've never read us.
Yep, I'm sure Time magazine changed from Man of the Year to "Person" for the same reason. No PC calculations there.
Reminds me of a liberal Catholic Church I attended. The Priest ommitted the word "men" from the the line "for us men and for our salvation" in the Nicene Creed. Needless to say, I found another parish. Cheers.
Bump!
We're getting a lot of contributions but we can always use more. If you haven't submitted your nominee yet, feel free to do so at http://www.enterstageright.com/conyear.htm.
bump!
