Peterson Case Attracts Devout Followers

She is a regular at the Scott Peterson murder trial, rising before dawn to try to win a seat in the gallery, but Ginger Hood-Akers wants to make it clear she is not crazy and she is not a loser who needs to get a life....
"I can't tell you how many times I dreaded jury duty, and here I am voluntarily," says Hood-Akers, who works nights in an intensive-care unit for sick newborns. "Some of my friends on `the outside' don't get it. They think we're nuts."

This poor man. His wife and child were brutally murdered right before his eyes. Hasn't he suffered enough?!?

The fact that the background of the convicted double murderer's family and the effect the Death Penalty will have on them is not admissible has more than likely explained the family, but I think the Judge is allowing it for purposes of appellate record only.
I just about sick of it tho.....
Good morning all!

Another thing that makes me sick is the idea being touted by the family that Snott should be spared because he will be a teacher in jail...
Laci was a teacher in life, but he ended that for her when he murdered her....
Conner had allot to learn in life from his teachers....but his father murdered him.....

I haven't been following this case too close but, like most here haven't been able to escape seeing bits of it constantly poping up on the news.

My dumb question for the day - Did he ever get around to admiting the murder or is he still pleading innocent?

Thanks in advance for your reply but I'll be too busy ignoring the case to get back into this conversation...

20 witnesses for Snott's side? Fox reported that one juror even fell asleep.

Even if they give him the death sentence, he will still be alive 20 years from now. He has 4 appeals and they could take forever.

And besides that, it was only his first offense. Cut the man some slack already!!

No, he never admitted his guilt. The "talking head" lawyers say that he won't do so to preserve his chances of getting sprung on appeal.

If he gets the DP, he'll likely die of old age on death row. California is executing condemned prisoners, on average, every 2.75 years. There are already 625 prisoners on death row. Many of them are quite elderly, and suffering from dementia now and need geriatric care.
