I think the argument that priests should be allowed to marry is about creating a larger pool of potential priests who might not otherwise enter the priesthood, rather than as a cure for sickos.

I've always thought that the BSA should just restate its policy on scout leaders, changing it to: "Mindful that scout leaders will often be placed in intimate unsupervised settings with scouts, no individual who is sexually attracted to males will be allowed as a scout leader." This would encompass both females and homosexual males and thus remove the homosexual argument from the discussion.

Sadly, in an effort to be more welcoming and tolerant, the Church compromised its own written principles...

Follow the money...and I'm not Catholic bashing. In 53 years I have not found an organized religion that doesn't cater to to the money. Most of the people I've run across are good and decent folks...the wealth-seeking higher-ups have always desecrated the main purpose.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

Excellent article about homosexuality and the Catholic Church, includes background about the homosexual "rights" movement and GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network) which is infecting many of our public schools.

This is an article which should be copied, kept, printed out and/or emailed to people who need to be informed about the reality of the "gay" agenda. Any Catholics especially should check it out, and anyone who has Catholic friends should make sure they get it.

Spells out the truth. This writer really tells it like it is; I particularly liked this comment:

"I caution against being fooled by the smokescreens thrown up by liberal Catholics seeking to pin the current scandal on the issue of Celibacy or the ordination of women. If celibacy is not a gift from God and sexual urges are not controllable then we might as well throw in the towel on the whole abstinence issue and admit we are all animals."

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that homosexuality itself though not a sin is disordered.

I have a problem with this.

MAT 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

So it would seem also with homosexuality, whether acted upon or not.
