Imagine a hypothetical situation where a team of vicious thieves plots an exceptionally violent bank robbery in the downtown financial district of a major city. Numerous anomalies are noticed during the commission of this crime.

The bank tellers are not able to send out an alarm to the police even though banks have numerous hidden silent alarms for foiling robbery. The guards at the bank somehow take much longer to call the police for assistance than they have done on previous occasions, raising questions among bank customers whether orders were given to the the guards to "stand down" and not interfere.

The police take an extraordinarily long amount of time to show up on the scene, despite an unblemished record of fast response to prior robberies.

The cops who do eventually respond are not dispatched from the nearest police station, but from a suburban police force many miles away that travels far below emergency speeds to intercept the robbers. Some of the responding officers travel the exact opposite direction from the bank when they do leave the station, and arrive on the scene too late to catch the criminals.

The criminals are business partners of the chief of police and the Mayor..."

I was at the airport Thanksgiving week, and two people were talking about how the election was rigged, etc. A liberal friend of mine has been parroting the same thing.

Right out of this website (or a similar website) talking points.

I wanted to ask the gal how she got through the metal detctor with all that tinfoil on her head... ;^D (but I kept quiet, and just listened to them prattle)

HA! Let me explain something to you...I'm a conservative who owns guns. The wacky liberal I was referring to? Does not. Nor do his friends...
Maybe the below scenario will explain the differance better:

Scenario:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges.

You are carrying a Glock .40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?

Typical Liberal response:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?

What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1?

Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.

PS.. this conspiracy theories about the pentagon have been going on forever - there is a great special on Discovery or History or one of those channels that shows the entire event and interviews survivors. My father (slightly insane, but all in all a good man - say what you will about acorns and oak trees - LOL)

During the Y2K "Scare", my dad's wife's friends were running around hoarding rice and dog food and toilet paper, etc.
They asked my dad (NRA member) what he was hoarding...

Dad said, "Bullets" .

They didn't get it. He had to explain that with his bullets, he could have all of their stuff pronto.

I still love that story. Explains a lot about my personality.
