If most of what you do is MS Office related activities, web browsing and email, then Linux would be pretty easy for you. If you play computer games, then stick with Windows.

Thanks for the tips. I don't do any gaming but a lot of sound and graphic work-- I suppose software is very limited, right?

That is something that I wanted to know. I do play computer games, (Civilization, Tropico, Age of Empires, Stronghold and the City Builders Series) and I was not sure if I could continue to play them on Linux. If I can't then I will stick with XP which is stable if a little oversized.
