Xandros is a nice Debian distro, would still like to see more Linux distro's make their way into stores.

Freys was selling an inexpensive computer loaded with Linux. The salesman said that it contained instructions for swapping out Windows.

man, I'm just looking for a reason to go Linux-- but I hear the learning curve is steep and I'm too short-winded as is.

Having tried Linux various times as an experiment, I never stayed with any of the installs because there did not seem to be any good web site production software similar to Macromedia Dreamweaver for the PC.
This was very surprising to me since Unix (and later derivatives like Linux) were/are so closely associated with the development of the Internet.
Can any Linux users that can recommend a sophisticated html production product for Linux that offers similar features to Dreamweaver?

You must buy and install Microsoft Windows. Linux is double plus ungood. It will make your computer blow up, and kill your puppy. It is too hard to learn. There is no software for it. You must buy and install Microsoft Windows. |

$399 buys the Windows machine at Dell with Monitor and Printer.
These machines are for people who shouldn't waste their money on them.

I have it on my old laptop. Great Debian distro - looks like Windows with a lot of relabeled icons, easy for a newbie to get working on Linux. A breeze to download and set up software. Once people try it, they won't want to go back to Windows.
