What about clothing with thread from different sources? What about dairy with meat? Or shellfish? Or pork? Why is it OK to eat a locust but not a beetle?

John the Baptist ate locust beans, IOW, carob pods. He did not eat insects.

"What about clothing with thread from different sources? "
Certain thread types don't wear well or look ugly. The general principle is improper mixtures.
"What about dairy with meat? Or shellfish? Or pork? Why is it OK to eat a locust but not a beetle?"
God made certain animals for food and not other animals.
Now on homosexuality, the one poster came close--all sex outside marriage is wrong. Jesus amplified this in the sermon on the mount when He said that anyone who looks on a woman to lust after her has already commutes adultery with her. So the problem isn't only the act, but also the thought.
Why? Ephesians 5: explains that marriage between a man and woman is a picture of Christ and the Church. By living in a heterosexual marriage we learn how Christ behaves to the Church and how the Church is to behave toward Christ. To do otherwise (sex outside marriage) confuses us about our role with Christ.
Jesus also explains that a man and woman are made one by God in marriage. That doesn't happen with homosexuals. This is not only sexuality--their two lives are to be intertwined forever.
Homosexuality is harmful first to homosexuals themselves, for it confuses they relationship with God. This is aside from the diseases caused by promiscuity and perverse sex.
Enough answers for you?

What about clothing with thread from different sources? What about dairy with meat? Or shellfish? Or pork? Why is it OK to eat a locust but not a beetle? What makes you think the Law is still in force?

"What about clothing with thread from different sources? What about dairy with meat? Or shellfish? Or pork? Why is it OK to eat a locust but not a beetle?"Christians were relieved from the strictures of Leviticus by Paul. The elephant in the room in all of these discussions is the question, "How do you know the bible is true?" That is always answered by simply saying that one believes it is true. All purported statement of fact about G-d's will are overstatements. One can only believe, one cannot know.

What about clothing with thread from different sources? What about dairy with meat? Or shellfish? Or pork? Why is it OK to eat a locust but not a beetle? Even the ancient Jews knew the difference between ceremonial cleanliness and hard moral truth.
