If you want to bury your head in the sand and pretend that those kinds of answers will be enough, that's fine for your own kids. But if we're confident in our own opinions, we should respect our kids enough to tell them the full, complicated truth.
I would add that I'm not aware of a single credible philosophy that says "Don't ask those questions!"
