Sep 21, 1883: Karl Marx's theories on Socialism were expounded at length yesterday before the Senate Committee on Labor and Education by Dr. Adolph Douai of the Volks-Zeitung.
Mr. Erastus D. Goodwin, a farmer from Falls Village, Conn. appeared as an advocate of "free trade", or at least a change in the tariff which would permit the importation of raw materials free of duty. Such a change would, in his opinion, be of great benefit to both the agricultural and industrial laborer.
At today's hearing, Mr. F.B. Thurber will be heard in advocacy of anti-monopoly principles.
He's got the brain of a four-year-old boy--and the boy was happy to get rid of it.
"Guess the secret woid and win a hundred dollahs"...
And this time I even typo'd too.
*chuckle*
Mmm--Wunderbar. . . [drool]
"Ancestros".
I just thought you might be part Greek as well as German....
:-)
Not having to take finals is nice! My favorite teacher was one who let us write our term papers at home as our final :) He just made sure that prior to that we turned in notes every class showing we had done our reading.
So what papers do you have then?
YES!
Goes well with Duff, or new Duff Lite!
I have to do a paper for my political science class and a paper for my accounting seminar.
LOL!
No Greeks that I am aware of yet.
There was a lot of German in America until we got involved in two wars against Germany. So I guess the solution to the problem of illegal hispanic immigation and the extensive use of Spanish in America is to go beat up their homeland.
FReepmail.
Weird recollection FReepmail..
Chico:
Dollahs? Oh, yeah, that's the part of the state my uncle is from: Dollahs, Taxes!
You've got mail.
:-)
Lesse...it's Harpo who never talked right?
or was that Zeppo?
*chuckle*
I thought it was a horrid pickup line, but it worked.
I dunno how.
Sounds good. What's your poli sci teacher like? Hope you don't get deducted points for being conservative :)
Harpo never talked and had a personality somewhat similar to Wacko. I think Zeppo is the one who sang, and had a lighter named after him. There was also Gummo, who invented Gummi Bears.
Ummm... well....
Luckily we don't talk much about democrat vs. republican type stuff in there. It's about how the judicial system works and how judges make decisions.
As far as I know, I'm a lonely conservative in there.
ROFLMAO!
