Sounds like the ED was just looking for a way to deduct his taxes from his house.

BTW, if the peace group is 50 years old (1954), it's probably a Communist front group.

It would interestibg to see if the house was donated to Promoting Enduring Peace by the director or a member of its family for a deductible tax donation with a stipulation that the director lived rent and maintence free in the house.
