FYI
Sorry to hear that. Irish Wolfhounds are terrific dogs. .....gentle giants.
I am so very sorry. My Tippy died on April 26, 2003. I am still in mourning. It hurts to lose a best buddy.
Nothing to forgive. Losing a beloved pet is very sad. I had to put my shepherd down in 2002 and still miss her giggle.
Just have a good cry. We understand.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I wish I could give you a hug. It's terrible to lose a constant and faithful companion.
You are certainly forgiven for the vanity. I am so sorry you have lost a dear and trusted friend. I lost 3 dear friends last year but the good news is I have gained 2 more. May there be a sweet puppy in your future.
You know, you have every reason to believe that your pet will be in heaven, or at the very least that there will be dogs, cat and very other animal ever created in heaven.
It is only man that must comply with John 3:3 to get into heaven, animals seem to have a free ride.
Hope this helps.
I'm sorry for your loss. My uncle has two of them. Never once heard them bark or saw them make a sudden move towards anyone.
So sorry to hear. I had to have my dog put to sleep some years back, and it still hurts. I was almost 40 at the time, but I cried like a baby.
No problem with the vanity. I lost my Woofie (I did not name her) some time ago and I still miss her. You truly have my sympathy.
One of the more worthy vanities. I'm very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
You have my deepest sympathy ...I have three Boston Terriers that are getting up in age ; one is almost blind now , and naturally my wife and I are dreading the inevitable day when each of them passes on . You might appreciate this . It makes me cry with joy at the possibility ...

(((McGavin999)))
When I married my husband, he had two kids from a previous marriage who came to live with us within a few months of our marriage. They were 13 and 14. They had a wonderful Golden Retriever who protected me from the only dog I've ever been afraid of.
The guy across the street was in the Mafia and had a trained German Shepard who patrolled the dead end street where we lived. He was always lose and frequently in our yard.
WHenever I left the house, the Golden would chase the Mafia guy's dog far away from me and he always made sure I was protected. When the Golden died a few years later, I was devastated. Some dogs can become our very best friends and we never forget them.
Nothing to forgive... condolences on your loss.
