Why not? Islamm is an evil cult that holds many people in its grip who can't escape. This cult is centred in Mecca and Medina. This cult believes it is destined to win and win and win (enforced by the fact that Islm never lost from 620 right up until the battle of Poitiers). Nuking Mecca and Medina destroys this myth AND destroys the control the mullahs and ayatollahs have over the people.
The people rebel and leave.
