How cruel. Didn't someone try that with a woman from southeast Asia or something a couple years ago? A true 'mail order bride'! I think they tried to ship her Fedex.

In the mid 1800s, my great-grandfather supposedly came into this country from europe as a small child (about 5) locked in a steamer trunk carried by his uncle. I think it was to save the cost of a boat ticket, but maybe it was also to get past immigration? No one in the family remembers.

I know an airline pilot that years ago flew a route between New York and Puerto Rico. One night a flight attendant comes into the cockpit and complains of a mysterious odor in the back of the 747. The flight engineer goes back to check it out and finds a body in a garment bag in the closet. Someone's grandmother died while they were in NY visiting and they were taking her back to PR.
