NEW YORK - U.S. clothing sellers are suing the U.S. government to force the government to stop imposing limits on Chinese textile imports. The limits, or quotas, have been in place for decades, but were scheduled to be eliminated at the end of this year. If they win, the clothing sellers say the clothes Americans buy--which are already cheap--will be cheaper still.
The clothing sellers say the government, including the Departments of Commerce, Labor, State and Treasury and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative are "wrongly" considering the imposition of fresh safeguards against Chinese goods. The case will be heard by the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York.
The clothing sellers are represented by the U.S. Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel, a trade association. The USA-ITA charges that the five agencies comprising the Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements are accepting requests from "anonymous" petitioners based "solely on anecdotal bits and pieces of information" in violation of importers' due process rights. CITA is the intra-agency body responsible for implementing U.S. textiles trade policy.

Chinese bras? Well, it's not like there's a huge material expense...
How cheap can bras get? Obviously you've never bought bras from Victoria's Secret...cheap they ain't.
If two stamps will satisfy you, 74 cents!
Ha! Check out LaPerla. You need a loan and a 2nd mortgage.
(VS ain't cheap either, fer sure).
Bras are not cheap. $35-40 on the average for a decent properly fitted one.
But how much for a properly filled one?

Ooh . . . but Victoria's Secret is so pretty! Well worth the cash.
La Perla is scary stuff. I can't imagine ever spending that much on undies but if I did hubby would have to be told "Don't touch" and then . . . well what's the point?
Whoa! That's outrageous.
Women really ought to consider using Duct Tape instead.
It comes in a wide variety of colors nowadays.
Have you tried to shop for any undie products made in the U.S.A.? I have. The closest I could get was Canada.
When I want to treat my wife (and myself),
Agent Provocateur is the way to go.
What are bras? Pics please. So I can judge for myself how much they should be.
Yeah,
But it really kills the mood when you take it off!
It would seem that, relative to what is found inside the bra, the expense of the bra itself is negligible. Perhaps I should say the "value" of what's inside....
I'm ecstatic that we have free trade. It prevents scum unions from having a stranglehold on the US market and holding customers up. Win-win.
Anyone who doesn't want cheaper bras is a boob.
"How cheap can bras get? Obviously you've never bought bras from Victoria's Secret...cheap they ain't."
And like with women's swimsuits, the less material there is the more they cost.
