The i-unit, which resembles a wheelchair, is designed to help people get around. It will be displayed at an exposition in Aichi, central Japan, next year. (AP Photo/Shuji Kajiyama)
The compact sized vehicle, which runs on lithium-ion batteries, enables the passenger to move among other people in an upright position in low speed mode, while the vehicle reclines in high speed mode to lower the centre of gravity and ensure stable handling, the company said.

Somewhere along the way, the bed starts thinking it is the old man's dead wife, and is trying to save him from what it thinks is poor treatment at the hospital.LOL! And I suppose the poor old dude really wants his wife to stay dead, ROFLMAO!

I'll take two of those and DON'T call me in the morning.
OK, she's a traitor to her country so I won't take two but ...
D@mn!
Shalom.

Yuch, Jane Fonda. I'd like to see them develop a waste removal robot that would take care of her and the other Leftist vermin that infest Hollyweird.

No, the old guy is nearly out of it. He is a mostly passive character for the entire movie. But everyone else is unnerved by the bed's acquiring this personality.

However, I'm still going to say that time-saving devices aren't.Most of the smaller time-saving devices in my house wind up at the bottom of some gadget drawer, or in the garage. It takes more time to find them, recharge or replace batteries, and make sure they still work then it does to actually do the chore by hand.

If so much research energy here wasn't devoted to sexual enhancements, we might be making the headlines with our innovations.

And what nature doesn't provide, silicone can.I never expected to see a day when plastic surgery is the subject -- indeed, the point -- of not one, but two reality TV shows. I wonder where the bottom is for pop entertainment.

Yes, I know. Should have added a sarcasm tag to the post. I realize that these are for the "lazy of heart" who would rather drive around in "style" than use the legs the good Lord gave them. :-) The electric wheelchairs are obviously "the future" for those of us who use wheelchairs. My husband thinks "turboboosters" would be nice! (sarcasm)
