When I read the other thread to my wife telling of this brave Marine's heroics, I had to stop a few times because of my cracking voice.
God Bless his soul.
Agreed.
Lord, thank you for men like this.
Thank you for your service, LavaDog. I e-mailed this article to Rush for him to read on air next Monday, hopefully. Maybe more e-mails would be helpful:

Semper Fidelis, Sgt. Rafael Peralta. Death to Sites the hippie traitor.
OORAH! I'm a former Marine CC and truly appreciate what our devil dogs are doing for us. Cpl Perkins dove on a grenade in Vietnam while attached to Charlie 1/1. He is the only Marine CC to be awarded the Medal of Honor. A selfless act by a Marine is not uncommon. That's what ties us together here now and forever. Say a prayer for our fallen Leatherneck.

WHY isn't this being reported by the MSM?
How dare they NOT report this.
Meet a real Hero.
May God comfort his family and loved ones.
Greater love has no man than that he lay down his life for his brothers - surely Petrella is in heaven even as we speak.
Having two sons in the Marine Corps I read this and I weep. I raised my sons to recognize family, duty, honor and country. Then I turned them loose on the world they joined the Marine Corps. A Staff Sergeant and a Lance Corporal, from my view a dream come true. Such fine young men. But one must accept the ethic "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends." These statements are part of Jesus' final commandments to his disciples, the night he was to be arrested and taken away to be crucified. My sons live by these words. They will do what has to be done. There are days I question events but they are Marines they are doing what has to be done.
Most days I do not sleep much, perhaps I worry too much. God knows what my Mother had to live with in 68. A sobering experience, a milestone reached. I am so proud of my sons I could burst but I am so worried some days, I just collapse from worry. I have to live with the fact that they are going to lay down one's life for one's friends. How can I criticize them when Dad gave them the same advice?
Lance Cpl. Richard Anderson, Peralta thank you. You will always be in my prayers and my sons prayers.
thanks for the post

One more reason these left-handed a$$wipers need to be EXTERMINATED...no more talk...no more "reasoning"...and definitely NO MORE AMERICANS dead while trying to do it so the world doesn't scream!
I want them ALL removed as a threat to humanity...HOWEVER it needs to be done! NO American heroes are worth the price these Islamazis make us pay....1000/1 return is too low!
Thank you for the ping Granny.
I never cease to be amazed at heroes like this. They are the ones that make our country the best and strongest in the world. They are the people who make Americans proud to be free.
God bless this wonderful man and may He comfort his family and loved ones.
